1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service apply to the Slipd mobile application ("Application") created by Samith Chowdhury ("Service Provider") as a free service. By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.
2. License
The Service Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Slipd on Android devices you own or are authorised to use, for personal or business invoicing and estimate management purposes.
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works from the Application. You may not rent, lease, lend, resell, or redistribute it. You may not remove any proprietary notices or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Application or its features.
3. Intellectual Property
All rights to the Application's code, UI design, name ("Slipd"), and logo remain the property of the Service Provider. You retain full ownership of any data you create within the Application — your invoices, estimates, client records, and business profiles belong to you. The Service Provider does not claim any rights to your content and will never access it.
4. Your Responsibilities
You agree to use the Application lawfully and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are responsible for the accuracy of any invoices or estimates you create. You are responsible for tax and accounting compliance in your jurisdiction — the Application is not a tax or accounting service and does not provide advice in those areas. You should consult a qualified professional for tax matters.
You are also responsible for maintaining the security of your device. Since all data is stored locally, the Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this can introduce security vulnerabilities. We recommend taking regular JSON backups using the Application's export feature, as we cannot recover data if your device is lost or reset.
5. Disclaimers
The Application is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. The Service Provider does not warrant that the Application will be error-free or that PDF generation, tax calculations, barcode scanning, or notification delivery will perform correctly in every environment.
The Application does not validate whether invoices are legally enforceable in your jurisdiction, whether amounts are accurate, or whether your payment terms comply with local law. You are solely responsible for ensuring your invoices meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
The Application is tested on Android 10 through 15, but compatibility is not guaranteed on all devices or custom Android builds.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider's total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Application is limited to zero dollars ($0). The Application is free of charge and offered without subscription revenue. The Service Provider is not liable for data loss, incorrect invoice calculations, PDF rendering errors, notification failures, or issues arising from third-party apps used to open shared files. The Service Provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Application to create fraudulent invoices, impersonate another business or individual, evade taxes, or engage in any activity that is unlawful or harmful. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, attack, or interfere with the Application. Violations of this policy may result in removal from the Google Play Store.
8. Internet and Data
The Application requires an internet connection only for an optional, silent version check on launch. Some features, such as sharing a PDF via email or messaging apps, rely on your device's connectivity and your mobile carrier's terms. If you use the Application outside a Wi-Fi area, standard mobile data charges from your carrier may apply.
9. Updates and Changes to the Service
The Service Provider may update the Application at any time to fix bugs, improve performance, add features, or comply with regulations. We may also discontinue the Application at any time, at which point the licence granted under these Terms will end. We are not obligated to maintain backward compatibility with older data formats, though we will make reasonable efforts to do so. These Terms may be updated at any time — continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data immediately. The Service Provider may terminate your access if you violate these Terms, use the Application unlawfully, or attempt to compromise its integrity.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the Service Provider harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Application, your invoicing or business practices, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
12. Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute related to the Application, please contact the Service Provider at hello@iamsamith.com first. We will make a genuine effort to resolve it within 30 days. If informal resolution fails, any remaining dispute will be settled by binding arbitration rather than in court. You waive the right to participate in class actions or class arbitrations. These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be severed and the remaining Terms will continue in full effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Service Provider regarding the Application. No other representations or agreements apply.
